As West Valley battles for a second-consecutive Coast-South Conference title and deep 3C2A playoff run, the Vikings will look to Eric Altmark to help lead them. The first-year utility player from Beaverton, OR has had a major impact on WVC's first 30 games at the plate, in the field and on the basepaths.
Altmark has slashed (AVG/OBP/SLG) .313/.495/.493, with 16 RBI, 22 runs, five doubles, two triples and a homer. He has stolen eight bases on eight attempts, and is error-free on 58 total fielding opportunities. He is one of only five Vikings with at least one double, one triple and one home run. Altmark has four multi-RBI games, highlighted by a three-run triple Feb. 7 in a 9-4 win over Butte at Valhalla.
After a top-three 2024 state finish, this year's ultimate goal is a state championship, and Eric Altmark will be key component.
