The Viking women's volleyball program secured a three-set victory on Friday night, defeating Ohlone College 25-10, 25-18, 25-22. With this win, the Vikings have won 11 consecutive matches and remain in first place in the Coast Conference standings. In the first set, the Vikings jumped out to a massive lead behind the serving run of sophomore libero Taylor Vales. Taylor led the team in service aces for the night with 5. The Vikings hit .273 as a team in the first set, led by Francesca Zanotti and her match-high 34 assists. In the second set, the Vikings elevated their offensive production, attacking at a clip of .406. The solid offensive attack helped the Vikings create separation early in the set, and they never looked back. In the third set, the Vikings built an early lead, but Ohlone fought back to bring the score to 22-20 late in the set before the Vikings secured a 25-22 set win.
