West Valley hosts the 2018 CCCAA State Championships

Saratoga will be the center of the California community college beach volleyball world for three days as West Valley College hosts the 2018 CCCAA Beach Volleyball State Championships Thursday through Saturday (May 10-12). Two teams from the north, top-seeded Sierra (14-3) and #2 Cabrillo (13-1), and four southern teams, #1 Long Beach (17-4-1), defending champion and #2 MiraCosta, #3 Irvine Valley (11-8) and #4 Moorpark (13-3), begin pool play Thursday at 9:00am.

32 pairs from 20 different colleges take to the sand at 8:00am Thursday.  Sarah Miller and Paige Painter from Long Beach claimed the 2017 championship for the first-year Viking program.

The West Valley beach volleyball facility is one of the top sand courts in the country. It features six, wind-screen-protected courts, bleachers with 150 fold-down seats, and a state-of-the-art scoreboard.
