The West Valley baseball team captured a pair of wins over Skyline Saturday to complete its non-conference schedule with five consecutive wins. Troy Gilmore's RBI single in the top of the 12th lifted the Vikings (11-6) to a 5-4 win over the Trojans to complete a Feb. 22 game suspended by darkness. The second game saw WVC pound out 18 hits on their way to a 15-8 victory, their third this season over Skyline (4-13). Nate Petrov led the WVC offense with a 3-4, two RBI, three runs scored outing. Hunter Schilperoort went 3-5 with an RBI double and four runs scored, and Jake Pao finished 3-4 with a triple. Adrian Lopez (2-0) picked up the win in relief. The Vikings open Coast-Golden Gate Conference play Tuesday (3/6) at College of San Mateo (10-6). First pitch is 2:00pm.
