Troy Gilmore lofted a bases-loaded sacrifice fly to lift the West Valley baseball team to a 9-8 walk-off win over Gavilan Saturday afternoon at Valhalla. The Rams jumped out to a 5-0 second-inning lead, but the Vikings chipped away with a solo run in the second on a Zach Smits homer, two in the fourth and one in the fifth before evening it up at 8-8 with four in the seventh. Gilmore tripled to lead off the seventh and then scored on Hunter Schilperoort's double down the third-base line. Nate Petrov doubled to right to score Schilperoort and then came home on a Rich Meyers single down the first-base line. Erik Ochoa's RBI sacrifice fly to center brought home Meyers with the fourth run of the inning. Walks to Kyle Ochoa, Erik Ochoa and Jake Pao loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth to set the stage for Gilmore's one-out game winner. Gilmore finished the day 4-5 with and RBI and two runs scored, and Ruben Trejo was 4-4. Matt Remmel picked up the win in 2 1/3 innings of relief.
