The West Valley men's basketball team outscored Hartnell 49-32 in the second half to pound the Panthers 78-63 Wednesday night in Saratoga. The Vikings (13-12, 4-5 Coast-South) nailed nine three-pointers after the break, including four from Devante Johnson and two each from Ken Opamuratawongse and Delvon Nisby. Johnson scored a team-high 20, followed by 18 from Mejia, 15 from Opamuratawongse and 14 from Nisby. Rene Hurtado hit a game-high 25 for the Panthers (12-11, 4-5). WVC travels to San Jose City (7-16, 4-6) Friday (2/9) for a 7:00pm tilt against the Jaguars.
