The West Valley men's basketball team takes on defending CCCAA state champion City College of San Francisco in the 2018-19 home opener Wednesday (11/21) afternoon in Saratoga. The Vikings (2-3), who are led by Tyler Wright's 15 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest, have sandwiched tough road losses at Feather River (3-0), Alan Hancock (6-1) and Cuesta (4-2) between road wins at Sierra and Alameda. CCSF (5-0) captured state titles in 2018 and 2016 and enetered this season as the top-ranked team in the preseason polls. Malcolm Johnson paces the Ram stat sheet with 18.6 PPG, 8.6 RPG and 2.2 steals per game. Tipoff is slated for 3:00pm at the Main Gym.
