On a night when the offense never got rolling, the West Valley basketball team fell 71-57 to Cabrillo Wednesday in a battle of one-loss Coast Conference teams in Aptos. The Vikings (10-12, 4-2 Coast) shot 35% from the field, including a 13-34 night from three-point range. Cabrillo (16-5, 5-1) hit on 50% of its shots and out-rebounded WVC 43-29. Beattie Roggasch hit four treys to lead the Vikings with 12 points, while Ryan Hewitt had 11. Lenorris Mincey had 15 points and eight rebounds to pace the Seahawks. West Valley has a bye Friday and then hosts rival De Anza (9-13, 1-5) Wednesday (2/6) at 7:00pm.
