Coach Eitelgeorge became West Valley's head coach in 2008 after spending the prior season as an assistant coach at Sacramento State. Prior to that, he was as the associate head coach at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA from 1992-2001 and from 2006-2007. In his final year at DVC, he helped coach the Vikings to a 27-6 overall record, a Big 7 Conference championship and a top-five state ranking. The 2007 team also had four players named to the all-conference team, including the Big 7 MVP. During Eitelgeorge’s five seasons at DVC, the team had an overall record of 127-49, including five straight years with at least 21 victories, two conference championships (1999, 2007), five CCCAA NorCal playoff appearances (1998-2001, 2007), and a pair of Final Eight appearances (1999, 2001).

Eitelgeorge was the head coach at Porterville College (Porterville, CA) from 2001-05. He coached the Pirates to a NorCal playoff appearance in 2003. He was head varsity coach at El Molino High School in Forestville, CA from 1994-97,leading the Lions to two playoff appearances, a sectional runner-up finish, and the first boy’s basketball league championship in school history.

A native of Stockton, CA, Eitelgeorge received his Bachelor’s Degree in History (minor in government) from Saint Mary’s College in 1991. He added a Master’s Degree in Health, Physical Education & Recreation from his alma mater in 2001. He was a four-year starter for the Gaels’ soccer team (1987-90) and was an All-Conference selection as a senior.
