The first Viking goal came 19 seconds in on a Makenna Pendleton strike from the right side of the box off a Matthew Korpontinos assist. 15 minutes later the score was 5-0 and the West Valley men's soccer team was on its way to an impressive 8-1 win over Feather River Saturday in Saratoga. The second half started out much the same, as Andy Navarez drilled home a Pendleton pass two minutes after the break. Mario Larios completed the WVC scoring in the 67th minute off a Tom Barker helper. The Vikings (4-1-1) complete preseason action 9/25 at Evergreen Valley (5-2-1) and then host Chabot (2-3-0) 10/2 in the Coast Conference opener. Both matches start at 4:00pm.
