Two goals from Jose Canada led the West Valley men's soccer team to a 4-0 shutout of crosstown rival Evergreen Valley Tuesday afternoon in the Coast Conference opener at EVC. Canada scored seven minutes off a Makenna Pendleton assist and then closed out the scoring in the 80th minute on a Charles Gray helper. Mario Larios (Michael Robles assist) found the back of the net at 58' and Viking scoring leader Rodolfo Castro (Alexis Rincon) netted his 7th of the year at 75'. Yannick Lamers turned away three Evergreen shots to record his second clean sheet of the season. West Valley (5-1-1, 1-0-0 Coast) hosts Gavilan (4-2-1, 0-0-0) Friday in the Coast home opener. Kickoff is 4:00pm
