Alec Mortensen swam to two individual and two relay first-place finishes to lead the West Valley men's swim team at the 2023 Hawk Invitational at Las Positas College.

Mortensen took the 200 Free and the 200 Individual Medly, was second in the 100 Free and third in the 100 Breast. He teamed with Mario Almarza, Jacob Hatch and Derek Hanel to win the 400 Frrestyle Medly Relay and the 200 Free Relay

Hatch swam to 3rd-place finishes in the 100 Back and 200 Back.
