The West Valley women's soccer team enhanced its playoff positioning with a 5-0 win Tuesday at Cabrillo. Ashley Wallace netted a pair of goals against the Seahawks, her league-leading 16th and 17th of the season. Melanie Asquith, Holly Hopwood and Rachel Martin had goals for the Vikings (11-4-5, 6-3-2 Coast), while Katie Bonvicino and April Lopez each handed out a pair of assists. Samantha Coelho recorded her ninth shutout of the year in goal. The Vikings wrap up the regular season Friday (11/9) in a key matchup against Hartnell (14-6-1, 8-2-1) at Dick Schwendinger Field. Kickoff is 3:00pm.
