The West Valley volleyball team handed Cabrillo their first home set-loss of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Vikings fell 12-25, 25-13, 13-25, 16-25 to the state's 2nd-ranked team in Aptos Friday night. Kamille Williams had a big night at the net for the Vikings (13-6, 4-1 Coast) with a match-high 15 kills and four solo blocks against a solid front line for Cabrillo (17-1, 4-0). Mapu Sekona knocked down 12 kills to go along with 14 digs and a pair of service aces and Shyla Boeche served up 29 assists. The Vikings host City College of San Francisco (11-6, 3-1) Wednesday (10/18) in a crucial Coast contest. First serve is 6:30pm.
