The West Valley volleyball team found Cabrillo College's Adobe Palace to be a Halloween house of horrors, as the Vikings dropped a straight-set match to the state's 4th-ranked team Wednesday night. The Vikings (12-9, 5-4 Coast-North) looked to build on their big five-set win over #6 Hartnell last Friday, but couldn't overcome the big-swinging front line and error-free serving of the Seahawks (23-2, 10-0). Mapuhola Sekona knocked down a match-high 10 kills to go along with seven digs and two solo blocks, while Shannon Greene added six kills and three blocks. The playoff push continues for WVC next week with matches at San Francisco (6-18, 2-8) Wednesday (11/7) and at Monterey Peninsula (7-8, 3-7) Friday (11/9). Both matches begin at 6:30pm.
