The West Valley women's water polo team jumped out to a 5-0 first quarter lead and cruised to a 14-7 win over Foothill Wednesday in Saratoga. Alexandra Ruzsa found the back of the net four times in the first, and Sierra Ceballos and Sabrina Esteves each scored twice in the second to boost the Vikings (7-3) to a 9-1 halftime lead. Ceballos added three more goals in the third quarter to finish with a game-high five. West Valley hits the road this weekend for the Mt. SAC Invitational before continuing Coast Conference play Sept. 26 at home against Cabrillo. The ball drops on the 26th at 3:00pm.
