Delvon Nisby and Devante Johnson each canned a pair of free throws in the final minute to lead the West Valley basketball team to a 62-57 win at San Jose City College Friday night. The win kept postseason hopes alive for the Vikings (14-12, 5-5 Coast-South), who are locked with Hartnell (14-12, 5-5) and Monterey Peninsula (13-11, 5-5) in third place in the conference standings. West Valley took a 36-35 lead into the locker room at the break thanks to five treys from Nisby, who finished with a game-high 23. Johnson finished with 15. The Vikings finish the regular season with a key pair of home games against Monterey Peninsula (2/14) and Coast-South co-leader Cabrillo (14-10, 7-3) on Feb. 16. Both games tip off at 7:00pm.
