A schedule featuring the winners of four of the last five CCCAA championships awaits the West Valley women's soccer team in 2019. After a NorCal semifinal finish last year, Coach Jennifer Kerwin's side looks for a deep run this year. Seven-time state champion Cerritos, which won three straight from 2014-2016, makes a rare NorCal appearance Sept. 8 at Dick Schwendinger Field. The Vikings travel to 2107 champ Fresno City on Sept. 27 for a rematch of the 2018 postseason opener won 1-0 by WVC. Ten other 2018 playoff sides fill the schedule: Cañada, Clovis, Diablo Valley, Evergreen Valley, Foothill, Hartnell, Las Positas, Los Medanos, San Francisco and San Joaquin Delta. The Vikings close out the regular season with three huge matchups vs. Foothill (11/8), at Cañada (11/12) and the home finale against Hartnell (11/15).
