With dual Masters degrees in Kinesiology and Business Administration, Emily brings a wealth of industry experience and professional knowledge to her role as Strength and Conditioning Coach for the women’s soccer team. She holds multiple degrees across a variety of areas including physical education, business administration, marketing, and exercise physiology. With certifications in Strength and Conditioning, Sports Medicine, and Functional Movement Screen, Emily uses the latest technologies and modalities to improve athletes’ movement patterns, build strength and endurance, enhance performance, and reduce injury.
For the last 15 years, Emily has been involved with a variety of youth sport organizations as a parent, coach, and a trainer. Her recent master’s thesis entitled “Youth sport development pathways and experiences of NCAA Division I women’s college soccer players” is the culmination of many years of professional, academic, and personal achievement. As an athlete, coach, and parent, her passion and professional interest is to develop strong, empowered young female athletes through sport. Emily is an avid recreational athlete and a mother of four athletic children. Her most recent passion is road biking and she is currently training for a century bike ride in April. She also loves to swim, hike, and paddleboard in her free time, and will be adding rowing to her list of active pursuits later this year. She is a wannabe surfer and would love to spend more time in warmer waters catching some waves.
