The West Valley volleyball team opened the Coast Conference home schedule with a methodical 25-16, 25-10, 25-7 sweep of Mission Wednesday night in Saratoga. After playing the first three Coast-South matches on the road, the Vikings (11-7, 3-1) took care of business at home behind a match-high 17 kills from Rene Wash and Della Trimble's 33 assists, four digs and four aces. Hannah Moore knocked down eight kills, while Hannah Reynoso had a team-high five digs and Renee Martin recorded three aces. The Vikings head to Cupertino Friday (10/18) for a crucial tilt against rival De Anza (11-7, 2-1). First serve is 6:30pm.
