The West Valley College Sports Medicine staff, under the direction of team physicians Tiffany Gorman, MD and Kevin Murray, MD, provides comprehensive medical services to 11 intercollegiate teams and over 300 student athletes.

Two full-time Certified Athletic Trainers, one part-time Certified Athletic Trainer, and a staff of Student Athletic Trainers provide education, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and referral to West Valley student athletes.

The mission of the West Valley College Sports Medicine team is to utilize current and effective assessment skills to educate all student athletes on the importance of a sound prehabilitation program to help prevent injury. It is also the team's mission to empower all student athletes to become active in assuming the responsibility of proper nutrition, a healthy lifestyle, and maximum effort throughout the treatment and rehabilitation process.
