West Valley's Flor Porras has been named to the prestigious Two-Year College Women's Beach Volleyball Players To Watch list by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). One of five players on the list, Porras anchors WVC's #1 pair and is expected to be a state championship contender.

In 2022, Porras teamed with Katie Kishton to roll through the Coast Conference and NorCal pairs championships all the way to a state runner-up finish.

Viking coach Armen Zakarian said, "Flor returns as one of the top defenders in the state of California. As a freshman in 2022, she helped West Valley qualify for the NorCal regional team playoffs."
