It was a fitting way for West Valley to end a wild 2023 season. The Vikings scored three in the top of the 10th inning to rally past College of San Mateo 7-4 in San Mateo. It was the fifth walk-off win of 2023 for the Vikings, who ended the season 19-21, 10-10 in the Coast-North.

Tristan Silveira's RBI-single in the 10th broke a 4-4 tie, driving in Ryan Lordier with what would prove to be the winning run. Dylan McKee gave the Vikings a 7-4 lead one batter later with a two-run triple that scored Silveira and Anthony Cortese. Colin Trizuto came in to pitch the bottom of the inning and he set the Bulldogs (27-12, 11-9) down in order.

Silveira finished the game 2-5 with three RBI, while Andrew Wilford was 2-3 with two runs scored. Dillon Haftorson only pitched the 9th, but made it count, as he picked up the win. The win gave the Vikings a 3-1 season series sweep of CSM.
