Viking schedule shows path to fifth straight Coast crown

One of the benefits of playing for one of the CCCAA's top water polo programs is scheduling a game at ten-time NCAA champion USC. The West Valley men's water polo team opens its quest for a fifth-consecutive Coast Conference championship under coach Willo Rodriguez on Sept. 4 against the Trojans in Los Angeles. WVC's 2021 schedule includes three NorCal tournaments, five games against NCAA opponents and the usual Coast rivals.

After taking on USC and the University of La Verne (9/5) in Los Angeles, the Vikings return to the West Valley Aquatics Center for the Nyquist Memorial Invitational (9/10-9/11), a game against Biola University (9/24) and the annual Moe Mini Tournament (9/25).

Coast action begins Sept. 29 at Ohlone and includes home games against Cabrillo (10/6), NorCal power Merced (10/13) and a pair of road contests at De Anza (10/20) and Las Positas (10/27).

The annual NorCal Crossover tourney is Oct. 1 at West Valley. Games at UC Santa Barbara (10/9) and San José St. (10/30) and the Coast Conference Championship Tournament at Ohlone (11/5-11/6) round out the 2021 slate.

(The 2021 schedule's dates, times and opponents are subject to change. Spectators, at this time, are welcome at all WVC home games, but fans should check with each institution regarding spectator regulations for all road games. Please watch WVC social media - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and this website - for information regarding each game.)
