One of the longest-running tournaments of any kind in the CCCAA, the Nyquist Invitational, hosted by the West Valley men's water polo team, is a NorCal water polo showcase. The 56th Nyquist, featuring nine of the top teams in the north, hits the water at the West Valley Aquatics Center Sept. 10-11. 

Five teams from the Big 8 Conference - American River, Diablo Valley, Modesto, San Joaquin Delta and Sierra - and four sides from the Coast Conference - Las Positas, Merced, Ohlone and West Valley - will battle for the prestigious Nyquist championship.

The ball drops at 8am both days, with WVC taking on Modesto at 8am and SJ Delta at 3pm Friday. Saturday matchups will be determined by the results of Friday's contests.
