The West Valley women's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 1-0 win over visiting Las Positas Wednesday. Kayla Potter buried the unassisted game-winner in the 33rd minute in a sequence that began with a brilliant Sara Prough pass. Veronica Cook turned away three Hawk shots for the clean-sheet victory in goal.
 
Potter finished the regular season with a team-high 14 goals, followed by Prough with seven and Isabella Colet-Ruiz with three. Britcia Juarez topped the Vikings with four assists, followed by Brianna Valverde's three. Cook posted five shutouts and a 1.89 GAA.
 
The Vikings (9-9-2, 5-4-1 Coast-South) will learn their playoff seeding, opponent and location this weekend.
