The West Valley baseball team put 17 runs on the board in Monday's and Tuesday's Coast-Golden Gate games at Mission. Unfortunately, the Saints scored 27 of their own to claim 13-8 and 14-9 wins over the Vikings. Zach Smits led the WVC offense Monday with a solo home run and four runs scored, while Jake Pao went 2-3 with an RBI. Keegan Baird took the loss, giving up six hits and striking out three in 3 1/3 innings. The Vikings (7-13, 1-3 Coast-Golden Gate) and the Saints (14-4, 3-1) each pounded out 15 hits Tuesday. The Vikings travel to crosstown rival De Anza (7-10-1, 2-2) Thursday for a 2:30pm tilt and then return to Valhalla Saturday for a 1:00pm game against the Dons.
