Steven Grizzle's 11th-inning flare off the second baseman's glove gave the West Valley baseball team a 4-3 walkoff win over visiting San Francisco Tuesday. Grizzle knocked in Jake Pao, who had singled and then moved to third on a throwing error. The win moved the Vikings to 7-3 in the Coast-Golden Gate, 14-15 overall, and set up an important two-game series with San Mateo (17-11, 6-4) Thursday (4/4) and Saturday (4/6) at Valhalla. Danny O'Reilly went 3-5 to lead the Viking offense, while Matt Atencio picked up the win on the mound, holding the Rams (7-21, 0-10) to no runs and one hit in three innings of work in relief of starter Keegan Baird. First pitch Thursday is 2pm, while Saturday's game starts at 1:00pm.
