The West Valley baseball team dropped out of a third-place tie in the Coast-Golden Gate with a 22-1 loss at Chabot Saturday. The Vikings (17-20, 10-8 Coast-Golden Gate) were held without a hit until Danny O'Reilly's fifth inning solo homer and were outhit 15-2 by the Gladiators (17-20, 11-7). The Vikings close out the regular season this week against City College of San Francisco (7-29, 0-18). Game one is slated for Tuesday (4/23) against the Rams at Fairmont Baseball Field in Pacifica. The Vikings and Rams battle in the season finale Thursday (4/25) at Valhalla. First pitch is 2:30pm.
