Robert Noland and Jacquez Walker knocked down two free throws each inside the final minute to clinch the West Valley men's basketball team's 86-82 win over visiting De Anza Wednesday night. The victory gave the Vikings (11-12, 5-2 Coast-South) a season sweep of the rival Dons (9-15, 1-7) and kept them in the hunt for a postseason berth. West Valley, a perfect 10-10 from the free-throw line, was led by Walker's 22 points, six rebounds and eight assists. Devante Johnson finished with 17 points, eight boards and a season-high nine assists, while Cristian Mejia and Trevor Funk hit double figures with 18 and 12 points, respectively. Ajay Singh led the Dons with 28 points, while Darien Davis had 25. The Vikings travel to Monterey Peninsula Friday (2/8) for a 5:00pm tilt with the Lobos (10-14, 4-4).
