The West Valley men's soccer team remained unbeaten in the Coast-North with a methodical 5-0 shutout of Gavilan Tuesday in Gilroy. The Vikings (7-2-1, 3-0 Coast-North) built a 2-0 first-half lead on goals from Ronan Gillies (Sam Ludley assist) at 32' and Richie Licon off an assist from GK Yannick Lamers in the 42nd minute. WVC dominated the second half, picking up goals from Miguel Paz (Pedro Silva), Michael Robles (Vittorio Baglioni) and Mathew Cannon (PK). Lamers and Julian Lorenzo Garcia combined on the shutout of the Rams (2-9, 0-3). The Vikings continue their three-game road swing with a game Friday (10/6) at Chabot (1-8-1, 0-0-1). Kickoff is 3pm.
