The West Valley men's soccer team opened the 2018 season with a 3-0 blanking of Lake Tahoe Friday afternoon at Mt. San Antonio College. Rudolfo Castro found the back of the net twice on helpers from Bo Antonissen and Makenna Pendleton. Pendleton added an unassisted score for the Vikings (1-0), while keeper Yannick Lamers recorded the shutout. WVC takes on Richland (TX), a 2-0 winner over Mt. SAC Friday night, Sunday at 10:00am.
