The West Valley men's soccer team clinched the Coast-South Conference title with a 5-0 win at Ohlone Tuesday afternoon. The Vikings (14-2-2, 10-1-1 Coast-South) were led by team scoring leader Rodolfo Castro's two goals, one at 17' (Matthew Korpontinos assist) and at 41" (Alexis Rincon). Rincon converted a Korpontinos find at 20' and Ignacio Ponce (Andy Nunez) and Thomas Barker (Ponce) had second half goals. Jeron Rojas and Yannick Lamers each played a half in goal for WVC, turning away all three Renegade shots. West Valley concludes the regular season Friday (11/9) with a key matchup against Hartnell (12-2-3, 8-1-3). Kickoff is 12:30pm.
