Celebrating Sophomores: Viking Men's Soccer

Men's soccer sophomores

The West Valley men's soccer team made its 17th consecutive NorCal playoff appearance in 2019, ending the season winnning five out of six to close out the rugged Coast-North Conference campaign. Playing one of the toughest schedules in California, the Vikings won four straight league fixtures from Oct. 19 through Nov. 8 thanks, in large part, to a dynamic group of sophomores on a freshman-laden side. The second-year players excelled on both sides of the pitch, from keepers to midfielders to strikers, as they added to the legacy of Head Coach Gaspar Silveira's Vikings.
