Pablo Ramirez Belmont signs with Holy Names University

Two-time All-Coast Conference striker Pablo Ramirez Belmont has signed with Holy Names University. The 5-9 forward from Willow Glen High School finished a noteworthy West Valley career with 19 goals, eight assists and five game-winning goals in 36 games for the Vikings.

Ramirez Belmont logged four multi-goal fixtures, headlined by a two-goal, three-assist outing in a 7-1 drubbing of Chabot on 10/4/19. He found the back of the net twice in WVC's 3-0 blanking of Evergreen Valley on 11/15/19. In 2017, Ramirez Belmont scored twice in a 3-0 win at Foothill and then scored both goals in WVC's 2-0 win at Las Positas in the second round of the CCCAA NorCal playoffs.

He was named to the All-Coast/North 1st Team in 2019 and was an All-Coast/South 2nd Team selection and West Valley's Offensive MVP in 2017.

Holy Names is a private NCAA D2 school in Oakland, CA. The Hawks are members of the Pacific West Conference, which is comprised of seven California and three Hawaii institutions. HNU is coached by former Cal and Minnesota Stars (NASL) defender Evan Sassano.
