The West Valley men's water polo team made it 2-0 against NCAA D1 Santa Clara University with a 14-11 win over the Broncos Friday afternoon at Santa Clara. The Vikings (14-1, 1-0 Coast) were paced by three goals from Gojko Kapovic and another three from Eric Ellison, who was seeing his first action in a Viking cap. Ante Buzov, Togan Ozbek and Carlos Zayola had two goals each for WVC, while Kai Seed stopped six Bronco shots to imporve to 11-1 in goal on the year.

West Valley returns to Coast competition Wednesday (10/5) with a key battle at Highway 17 rival Cabrillo (5-7, 0-1). The ball drops at 3:00pm.
