Runners left on base continue to haunt the West Valley softball team as the Vikings stranded nine in a 6-0 loss at San Joaquin Delta Tuesday. West Valley (2-2) outhit the Mustangs (1-0) 7-6, but couldn't push anyone across the plate. The Vikings had seven hits but stranded ten runners in a 7-2 loss to American River last Thursday. Alexis Palmon went 3-4 and Carinne Peterson was 2-4 with a double. Palmon took the loss in the circle, giving up five runs on five hits in five innings of work. The Vikings head to Pleasant Hill Thursday (2/7) for a doubleheader against Diablo Valley (1-0). Game times are noon and 2:00pm.
