Alexis Palmon hurled a no-hitter in the West Valley softball team's 10-0 five-inning shutout of Chabot Tuesday in Saratoga. Palmon struck out five and walked three Gladiators for her fifth win of the season. Ava Gonzales went 2-3 with four RBI and Carinne Peterson finished 2-4 with a pair of runs scored. The Vikings (11-11, 2-6 Coast) hit seven timely singles and took advantage of Chabot's (1-13, 0-5) eight walks and five errors. The Vikings host the state's top-ranked team, the College of San Mateo (27-2, 7-0), Thursday. First pitch is 3:00pm.
