
The West Valley softball team picked up its fourth straight win with a 20-0 five-inning drubbing of Mission in Santa Clara Tuesday. The Vikings (15-12, 3-7 Coast South) jumped in front with a nine-run first that featured five hit WVC batters. Sierra Hillman led the 15-hit West Valley attack with a 4-5, two RBI outing, while Chancee Gaskin was 2-3 with a double and five RBI and Maricela Matos was 2-2 with a double and a pair of runs batted in. Starter Alexis Palmon held the Saints (0-11, 0-7 Coast-North) to a pair of hits in three innings, striking out seven to earn the win in the circle. The Vikings travel to Diablo Valley (8-18, 3-11 Big 8) Thursday (4/4) for a pair against the Vikings. Game times are noon and 2pm.
