Sara Prough slides a shot under Hawk GK Marisal Camargo for a 1-0 Viking lead

It was a tale of two halves for the West Valley women's soccer team in its 2-1 loss at Las Positas Tuesday. The Vikings controlled the first half, taking a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute as Sara Prough slid a rebound past Hawk keeper Marisol Camargo. It was all LPC after halftime. The Hawks (5-5-1, 2-0-0 Coast-North) found the back of the net twice on Darlin Hayworth (56') and Camryn Adams (61') goals. The Vikings (3-6-1, 0-1-0 Coast-South) play the third of their four-fixture road trip Friday (10/4) at Hartnell (5-3-3, 1-0-1 Coast-South). Kickoff is 1:30pm.
