The back-to-back-to-back Coast-South champion West Valley volleyball team swept De Anza Tuesday night to finish 2022 with a perfect 8-0 conference record. The 25-19, 25-15, 25-16 win was the ninth overall for the Vikings (13-9, 8-0 Coast-South) and eighth straight in conference. WVC dropped only a single set in league play, sweeping seven of their eight opponents.

Tuesday's victory was, appropriately, a team win with the stats spread out all over the sheet. Kiana Manson had eight of WVC's 34 kills, to go along with two of WVC's eight blocks. Devin Derecho also had eight kills and served up three of WVC's season-high 17 aces. Alex Franklin followed with six kills, while Sydney Pista finished with four kills, two digs and a pair of blocks. Sydney Rogers handed out 16 assists and had three aces of her own, and Flor Porras came up with a match-high 18 digs. Gabrielle Carbonel had a career-high four service aces. Nunu Saulala recorded three kills and two blocks.

The Vikings now await the CCCAA NorCal playoff seedings, which will be announced this week.
