
The West Valley women's water polo team stayed perfect in the Coast Conference with an 11-4 win at Foothill Wednesday afternoon. The Vikings (11-4, 3-0 Coast-South) were paced by Nadja Novakovic's six goals and two assists. Sierra Ceballos had a pair of scores and GK Raquel de Pinho had four saves, an assist and a goal on a shot from mid-pool. The Vikings jumped out to a 4-1 first-period lead and then outscored the Owls (3-3, 1-1 Coast-North) 6-2 in the second half to clinch the win. WVC travels to San Mateo (1-3, 0-2 Coast-South) Friday (10/4). The ball drops at 3:00pm.
